The classic top discharge centrifuge is a cost effective alternative for chemical manufacturing. The centrifuge can be easily adapted to the product characteristics and is therefore suitable for companies with a wide range of products in small to large batches.
Special attributes for customer benefit.
Flexible adaptation to difficult-to-filter products
Non-destructive filter cake discharge
Gentle solids discharge without particle destruction
Excellent scrubbing and extraction results
Simple centrifuge design
Reliable system for removing filter bags
Robust and simple removable side frame system
Solid-liquid separation takes place discontinuously in a series of specific process steps. Depending on the characteristics of the product, the individual process steps last from a few minutes to several hours. Depending on the type of control system, the process can be automatic, semi-automatic or manual.
Filling
The suspension is applied uniformly to the centrifuge basket through the feed tube or, optionally, through the feed tray. Fill level control prevents overfilling of the basket.
Intermediate Centrifugation
The basket is accelerated to centrifuge the liquid from the cake surface.
Washing
After intermediate centrifugation, a washing solution is applied uniformly to the product filter cake; this liquid enters the centrifuge through the feed tray or wash tube.
Dry centrifugation
After washing, centrifugation is performed - until the desired residual moisture content in the cake is reached.
Muffin device
The product can be released using a loosening device. Depending on the product, this will make the subsequent release easier.
Top Discharge
With the top discharge centrifuge, the product is discharged vertically upwards. Solids can be discharged manually, optionally using filter bags and lifting devices or special suction devices.
Solid-liquid separation with bottom discharge centrifuges is performed in a discontinuous series of specific process steps. Depending on the characteristics of the product, the individual process steps last from a few minutes to several hours. Depending on the type of control system, the process can be fully automatic, semi-automatic or manual.
