To select the filter cloth, it is necessary to consider the compliance with anti-corrosion requirements first, and then choose corresponding filter cloth material, such as nylon, polypropylene, polyester, F30, F40, PTFE, polypropylene fiber and terylene, according to the chemical properties of the separated materials. The mesh number (model) of the filter cloth is determined according to the particle diameter and particle size distribution of the separated materials. Generally, the filter cloth with mesh size slightly larger than the diameter of particles to be retained shall be chosen. In the initial stage of filtration, a small amount of small particles may pass through. When the larger particles are trapped, forming a cake layer, the pass-through phenomenon can be eliminated, which is conducive to improving filtration efficiency.
For specific materials, such as those with large particles, filter media such as sintered mesh and Dutch wire mesh can be used.
